Starting in capital city of Greece, Athens, continuing in Meteora with its rock top monasteries, pay a visit to ancient sanctuary in Delphi, learn everything about Olympic Games in Olympia, enjoy the journey through the history with stop in Epidaurus, get amazed by Mycenaean culture in Mycenae before returning to Athens, where Ancient Acropolis and Cape Sounio with its temples are waiting for you. Go cruising from Piraeus port to explore 3 picturesque islands of Aegean Sea, stay in selected hotels and relax en-route in private deluxe vehicles.

Itinerary

1st Day: Arrival in Athens
Upon your arrival in Athens airport, you will head to your hotel in the beautiful seaside resort of Kammena Vourla. You hotel is close to the sea and below the virgin mountains offering relaxation to the guests. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

2nd Day: Visit Meteora
You will depart from your hotel to visit the monasteries of Meteora, a complex of six Orthodox monasteries built on high rock pillars under the mountain Pindus. You will visit the most important and learn about Greek byzantine history and tradition. After the visit, you will enjoy your lunch (optionally)in Kalabaka and return to the hotel in Kammena Vourla for dinner and overnight. (Kammena Vourla)

3rd Day: Visit Delphi
After your breakfast at the hotel you will depart for a tour to Delphi, one of the most important sanctuaries of the old religion in Greece. See the impressive exhibits at the hotel and relax with the natural beauty of the place. Have time for lunch (optionally) and then depart for Olympia. Overnight at the hotel in Olympia. Dinner and overnight.

4th Day: Visit Olympia
Have breakfast at the hotel and then follow your guide for a visit to Olympia to admire the ruins of Zeus temple, the Gymnasium, the Hippodrome and the Stadium. Also you will admire the exhibits inside the archaeological museum including statues, weapons and everyday objects. Have lunch (optionally) in a tavern and enjoy your afternoon free. Dinner and overnight in the hotel. (Olympia)

5th Day: Epidaurus – Mycenae
After your breakfast you will depart for Epidaurus to visit the magnificent ancient theatre still used today for concerts and theatrical events. Afterwards, you will head to Mycenae and see the cyclopean walls and the tomb of Kind Atreas. Have lunch (optionally) in a traditional restaurant and depart for Athens in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight in the hotel in Athens.

6th Day: Athens city tour with visit to Acropolis
Take your breakfast and then begin your city tour to Athens city center and see Kallimarmaro stadium, the Greek Parliament, the National Library and the Academy. Then you will arrive at Acropolis and visit the temple of Parthenon, the jewel of classical Greece. Afterwards you will walk around the old district of Plaka with many cafes and interesting shops. Have lunch (optionally) in Plaka and then return at the hotel. Free afternoon and overnight at the hotel. (Athens)

7th Day: Visit Cape Sounio
At the last day of the tour you will visit Cape Sounio. The ancient is dedicated to the God Poseidon and is built over a cliff overlooking the Aegean Sea. Free optional lunch and return at the hotel in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

8th Day: Daily Cruise
After your breakfast, you will be transferred to Piraeus port and sail for a mini cruise to the picturesque islands: Hydra, Poros and Aegina. You can feel the sun’s touch, smell the marine Greek air and admire the beauty of the Greek islands.. You will take your lunch during the cruise and late in the afternoon return to port and transfer to the hotel. Lunch on board included, dinner and overnight in the hotel. (Athens)

9th Day: Departure
After breakfast you will check-out from the hotel and be driven to Athens. You will have a last opportunity to see Athens during free time. The guide will recommend places to eat or drink coffee. Transfer to the airport in the afternoon.

Additional Info

• Appropriate clothing should be worn in churches and monasteries (no shorts, no hats; shoulders should be covered).
• Hotel Accommodation Tax (effective from January 1st 2018) is paid directly to the hotel as following: 5* hotels – 4€ per room/per night, 4* – 3€ per room/per night, 3* – 1.5€ per room/per night, 2* and apartments -0.50€ per room/per night.
• Geo Travel reserves the right to accomplish any amendments on regular shore excursions, programs & timings and also abort a specific program/timing during the season. For any previous booked tour/timings which have been cancelled, a new tour program or timing will be suggested as a replacement. If the replacement does not satisfy you, you will be granted with a full refund.

COVID-19 HEALTH AND SAFETY MEASURES 

At GeoTravel our highest priorities are compliance, environmental protection, health, safety and well-being of our staff and clients.

Our staff and partners are informed and trained in accordance with the guidelines set by Greece’s public health organization (EODY) to meticulously maintain the last hygiene protocols and cleaning procedures.

Our staff always uses personal protective equipment (face masks, shields and optional gloves) and the temperature is monitored daily to ensure a safe travel experience for our clients.

All our vehicles are regularly sanitized and all seats, armrest, sidewalls, overhead bins are intensively cleaned and disinfected between use.

In addition, hand sanitizers are available to travelers and staff before entering the office or the vehicle.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a whisper audio system (for an extra charge) is recommended to be used by all the travelers and the staff in order to keep social distance guidelines.

Terms & Conditions

General Terms of Participation in Organinized Trips

Cancellation of a participant in an organized excursion (group) can be done by the excursionists. However, our office as an “Organizer” is obliged to respect its obligations to its partners (hotel, restaurant, tour guides, other services), which must be compensated in case of cancellations based on the agreements made.

Each organizer has different cancellation terms. The usual line for cancellations is 30 days before the start of the trip the loss of the deposit, and for cancellations 10-15 days before is the loss (and charge) of the total amount.

Our office has the right, in case the account is not paid by the time of departure, to request it by any legal means.

Our office also reserves the right to cancel the trip if there are special reasons for it. In the above cases, no money receipt is accepted, except for the refund of those paid by the excursionist. In special cases (force majeure as evidenced by official government documents) our office will investigate all the possibilities of claiming a refund from the suppliers.

The terms that analyze the refunds and cancellations are completely different for each supplier (hoteliers, transport companies, etc.) and the Traveler must ask to be informed about the cancellation terms of this trip before paying in advance.

In no case can our office be held liable for incomplete information of its customers due to the customer’s negligence to be informed of the terms of the trip it buys. Ask us for detailed information about the travel product before submitting the deposit.

Acceptance of Contents

The participation and payment of advance payment of the excursionists in any excursion of our office, and / or the purchase of any travel product, means the automatic and without any reservation acceptance of all the above conditions.
