Join a multi-day tour to Peloponnese and see its unique natural and historic beauties. Visit exotic beaches, swim in crystal clear waters and get to know the history.
Start the tour in Olympia, the birth place of Olympic Games, continue with city of Kalamata, worldwide famous for its olives, enjoy a short stop in picturesque village of Kardamili and do not miss near subsea cave, Diros. Stop in inhabited Monemvasia and pay a visit to Elafonisos island, small island of unparalleled beauty. Return back to Monemvasia and continue your tour in byzantine state of Mystras. Enjoy a short stop in summer resort of Tolo with a next destination, Porto Cheli. Get on the board of ferry boat and head for the island of Spetses with mansion of Greek heroine, Bouboulina. Continue your Peloponnese tour by visiting UNESCO-listed classical sites Epidaurus and Mycenae, visit the first capital of the newly born Greek state, Nafplio and end your tour in Athens. By then it is time for the return trip back to Peloponnese with very last short stop for photos of Corinth Canal. Stay in selected hotels and relax en-route in private deluxe vehicles.
Itinerary
1st Day: Olympia – Kalamata
We begin the tour and make our first stop to Olympia to admire the word famous archaeological site and museum and also free time to the modern town. Visit next the seaside city of Kalamata (Olympia – Kalamata: 2 hours/ 124 km) and have lunch before the settlement at the hotel. In the afternoon you will have free time to enjoy this beautiful vivid city. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
2nd Day: Kalamata – Kardamili – Diros Caves – Gythio – Monemvasia / 193 km
Have breakfast at the hotel and head south to explore the region of Messinian Mani. You will stop shortly at the picturesque village of Kardamili and then head to Diros Caves. (Kardamili- Diros: 1 hour & 15’/ 54 km). This subsea cave is one of the longest with stalactites and stalagmites in Europe. You will visit the cave underground by boats. Afterwards you will depart for Gythio (Diros – Gytheio: 42’/ 36 km). Have lunch optionally in Gythio and then head to the castle town of Monemvasia (Gytheio – Monemvasia: 1 hour & 15’/ 67 km). Settlement at the hotel and free afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
3rd Day: Monemvasia – Elafonisos – Monemvasia / 102 km
After your breakfast you will visit Monemvasia, a byzantine fortress by the sea with numerous and well preserved mansions and churches. You will head Pounta port and take the ferry to Elafonisos island (Monemvasia – Pounta port: 1 ½ hours / 41 km). The beaches of the island are truly exotic with white sand and blue waters. (Tour of Elafonisos: 40’ / 20 km). Take your lunch optionally and have plenty of time to enjoy the sea. Return at the hotel, dinner and overnight.
4th Day: Monemvasia – Mystras – Tolo / 215 km
After breakfast we depart for the byzantine state of Mystras (Monemvasia – Mystras: 1 ½ hours / 92 km). Mystras is also known as “the wonder of Moreas” and is built during Byzantine times as a fortress. Next we depart for the summer resort of Tolo (Mystras – Tolo: 2 hours / 123 km). You will have optionally meal at the tavern and then check in at the hotel. Enjoy a free afternoon to Tolo to relax. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
5th Day: Tolo – Porto Cheli – Spetses – Porto Cheli – Tolo / 144 km
You will wake up early in the morning and depart after breakfast for Porto Cheli to embark on the ferry to Spetses Island. (Tolo – Porto Cheli: 1 ½ hours / 72km). You will visit the island of aromas, see the old mansion of the Greek heroine Bouboulina, the old School and swim at the beach of Agia Marina. Return in Tolo in the afternoon, dinner and overnight.
6th Day: Tolo – Epidaurus – Mycenae – Nafplio – Tolo / 133km
We set out for Epidaurus after breakfast to admire the impressive ancient theatre still used today for concerts and theater. (Tolo – Epidaurus: 36’ / 31 km). We depart afterwards for Mycenae to see the “Gate of Lions”, the tomb of Kind Atreas and the cyclopean walls (Epidaurus- Mycenae: 1 hour/ 47 km). You will have lunch (optionally) and then return to Tolo for relaxing. (Mycenae – Tolo: 35’/ 31km). You will have an early dinner at the hotel in Tolo and then spend the night in the cosmopolitan city of Nafplion. (Tolo – Nafplio: 20’/12 km). You can admire the Fortress of Bourtzi, the castle of Palamidi; you can stroll through the narrow alleys of the old city. Return late at night to your hotel in Tolo.
7th Day: Tolo – Athens Acropolis / 175 km
Have breakfast at the hotel and depart for Athens, the capital of Greece (Tolo – Athens: 2 hours: 144 km). You will visit the temple of Parthenon in the Acropolis the most impressive, signifying monument of the Golden Era of Classical Athens. After your visit with the guide you will stroll to Plaka, the ancient Agora and have lunch at a traditional tavern. Afterwards, you will check in at the hotel and in the afternoon you can get some rest or take a walk in the city center for shopping and exploring. Return at the hotel for dinner. Overnight at the hotel.
8th Day: Athens – Isthmos – Loutraki
Have breakfast at the hotel and then embark on the bus to take a city tour to the main monuments of Athens: Kallimarmaro Stadium, Adrian’s Ark, Temple of Zeus, the Classical Trilogy and Syntagma Square. Then, we head back to Peloponnese with a short stop to Isthmos of Corinth to admire the canal. (Athens – Isthmos: 1 hour / 75 km). Afterwards we reach Loutraki, (Isthmos – Loutraki: 10’-9 km) .a seaside resort where you will have lunch (optionally) and then return your hotel/port/airport.
Note: The schedule for the last two days can be modified depending on your place of departure.
Additional Info
- Appropriate clothing should be worn in churches and monasteries (no shorts, no hats; shoulders should be covered).
- Hotel Accommodation Tax (effective from January 1st 2018) is paid directly to the hotel as following: 5* hotels – 4€ per room/per night, 4* – 3€ per room/per night, 3* – 1.5€ per room/per night, 2* and apartments -0.50€ per room/per night.
- Geo Travel reserves the right to accomplish any amendments on regular shore excursions, programs & timings and also abort a specific program/timing during the season. For any previous booked tour/timings which have been cancelled, a new tour program or timing will be suggested as a replacement. If the replacement does not satisfy you, you will be granted with a full refund.

Our staff and partners are informed and trained in accordance with the guidelines set by Greece’s public health organization (EODY) to meticulously maintain the last hygiene protocols and cleaning procedures.
Our staff always uses personal protective equipment (face masks, shields and optional gloves) and the temperature is monitored daily to ensure a safe travel experience for our clients.
All our vehicles are regularly sanitized and all seats, armrest, sidewalls, overhead bins are intensively cleaned and disinfected between use.
In addition, hand sanitizers are available to travelers and staff before entering the office or the vehicle.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a whisper audio system (for an extra charge) is recommended to be used by all the travelers and the staff in order to keep social distance guidelines.
Terms & Conditions
General Terms of Participation in Organinized Trips
Cancellation of a participant in an organized excursion (group) can be done by the excursionists. However, our office as an “Organizer” is obliged to respect its obligations to its partners (hotel, restaurant, tour guides, other services), which must be compensated in case of cancellations based on the agreements made.
Each organizer has different cancellation terms. The usual line for cancellations is 30 days before the start of the trip the loss of the deposit, and for cancellations 10-15 days before is the loss (and charge) of the total amount.
Our office has the right, in case the account is not paid by the time of departure, to request it by any legal means.
Our office also reserves the right to cancel the trip if there are special reasons for it. In the above cases, no money receipt is accepted, except for the refund of those paid by the excursionist. In special cases (force majeure as evidenced by official government documents) our office will investigate all the possibilities of claiming a refund from the suppliers.
The terms that analyze the refunds and cancellations are completely different for each supplier (hoteliers, transport companies, etc.) and the Traveler must ask to be informed about the cancellation terms of this trip before paying in advance.
In no case can our office be held liable for incomplete information of its customers due to the customer’s negligence to be informed of the terms of the trip it buys. Ask us for detailed information about the travel product before submitting the deposit.
Acceptance of Contents
The participation and payment of advance payment of the excursionists in any excursion of our office, and / or the purchase of any travel product, means the automatic and without any reservation acceptance of all the above conditions.
